Great show, I was there with a lot of friends and though not everyone cared that much about KISS in those days, after this show they were talking about it for weeks. Although Gene is greeting Amsterdam during 'Cold Gin', he was actually in Tilburg but he remembered almost all of his own written songlyrics, so we forgave him for the mistake. I hold this piece of Kisstory very dear, I was 20 years old, had enough money to visit nearly every concert I wanted to but hadn't seen Kiss in 4 years. Nice extra was that the concert was held one kilometer from my home at the time. I could hear the soundchecks while I was 'getting in the mood' with a few friends at my place. I just had to open my door to the garden to hear it. A friend recorded the show with his new walkman, it had microphones with a clip, so we clipped them on a baseball cap and although this recording turned out really great a few small problems were there. Like the wind in the stadium (Willem II is very open) & the extremely loud volume (specially the midrange). So, minor alterations had to be done. For starters Paul Stanley's voice and his Höhner guitar were screechingly loud in the mix and that was very exhausting to listen to on the tape. I corrected this in this remaster-session. Also a little part of 'No, no, no' is missing because of the tape-flip. Nothing really annoying though. I mixed the two parts so that you will barely notice the part. The wind is still there obviously, but it isn't that annoying and it adds a little to the life-like experience. All in all I'm very satisfied with the endresults. Greetings to: Ron, Edwin, Ronald, Vizz, Marieke, Anita, Guus, Rob, Jeroentje 2:10, Sandra, Michelle & everyone else that I forgot to mention but were there too. I don't have lost contact with many of the people that were there with me that day. If you recognise yourself in the audience, contact me. I'd surely like that! I have no artwork for this one yet, but you can find fitting artwork at Casaboontha's place. They look great so I might even use those myself. Maybe Casa wants to make a nice one specially for this release? (hinting) Enjoy! Originally I posted this one at the KISS-DVD-Club (exclusively), but figuring it could be seeded here in the future, I used it to my own advantage before anyone tried it, although I had no intention to in the first place. I have no problem if you seed this anywhere else either, but I have a request if you do so. 1 - keep the package intact, including the supplied info. Keep it in the original Flacs, don't convert this to MP3 and stuff. Though no-one would really mind if you copy this for your girl/boyfriend or trade it fairly...
